This story was challenging in that there were so many numbers involved. I had to try and find a way to make it so people's eyes wouldn't glaze over after the first sentence.
I had to largely go off a press release because so many people were on vacation and couldn't be reached for information. I don't like going off press releases because I feel like as a reporter I should be doing my own leg work. Anyway, here it is.
